A man was injured in a shooting Saturday afternoon in Hammond, Indiana.
Police responded about 2 p.m. to a parking lot of a South Shore train station in 4500 block of Hohman Avenue in Hammond where they found a man on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds, according to Hammond police Lt. Richard Hoyda.
The man, whose age was not known, was taken to an area hospital, Hoyda said.
A suspect described as a heavy-set Hispanic man wearing dark colored clothing was seen running away from the scene, Hoyda said.
